A few clear answers.
How long can my video be?
Choose a video up to 100 MB. Longer videos are accepted, but only the beginning is processed: 5 seconds by default, or 10 or 15 seconds if selected. If your video is shorter, the whole clip is processed. You cannot choose a different start point yet.
Is the video background remover free?
Yes. Remove video backgrounds for free, with no account and no added watermark. Choose a video up to 100 MB and download the first 5, 10 or 15 seconds.
Does my video leave my device?
No. Your video, audio and finished result stay on your device.
Do I need a green screen?
No. The tool is designed for people filmed against an ordinary background. A clearly visible person, good lighting and a simple scene usually give a better result.
Can I download a transparent video?
Yes. Choose Transparent WebM. Transparency requires a compatible player or editor; some players show transparent areas as black. Choose MP4 with a color background for wider playback support.
Which browsers and videos work?
Use Chrome or Edge on a computer. MP4 is recommended. Phones, tablets, Safari and Firefox are not supported. See Help for video compatibility tips.
Will hair, hands and objects look perfect?
Not always. Fine hair, fast motion, background people and objects held in your hands can be difficult. Try the Detailed mode and inspect your preview. This tool does not let you select one person in a group.
